The weather is nice, it's warm: it's finally the perfect time for little country picnics! 🌼 And who says picnic says homemade recipes that are easy to take, easy to enjoy and that will please everyone. A multitude of options are then offered to us: savory, sweet, cakes, quiches, tarts, raw vegetables...
But today, I decided to bring out a classic: apple pie 🍎. Ready in 45 minutes maximum (because we don't always have time to spend the day in front of the stove), it's THE tart that will make everyone agree!
Let's go ! Take out the wicker baskets, gingham tablecloths and Mölkky games 😂.
INGREDIENTS :
FOR 1 PIE FOR 6 PEOPLE
- 1 pie crust (puff, shortbread or shortbread)
- 2 small jars of applesauce (or better yet homemade compote),
- 3 or 4 apples depending on their size
- 2 sachets of vanilla sugar ,
- 1/2 lemon.
SMALL RECOMMENDATIONS:
- For apples : I advise you to preferably turn to organic or transitional products.
- For the pie crust : I have a slight preference for shortcrust pastry which I find more suitable for desserts, but it is up to everyone's preference.
- If you are Vegan and/or you do not consume gluten : I advise you to make your homemade shortcrust pastry using chickpea flour, cornstarch and a little olive oil. It's easy to make, quick and super good 🥰. You can find a little recipe right here: Vegan Shortcrust Pastry, gluten and lactose free .
PREPARING THE APPLE PIE:
WE GET YOUR HANDS IN THE PTE!
- Preheat the oven to 210°C. (thermostat 7)
- Place your dough in a tart pan and lightly prick the bottom with a fork.
- Peel the apples and cut them into even strips. Sprinkle them with the juice of 1/2 lemon.
- Pour the compote over the dough and place the apple slices in a spiral or several circles, your choice!
- Sprinkle everything with the vanilla sugar.
- For those with a sweet tooth, you can coat your apples with maple syrup or sprinkle them with cinnamon instead of vanilla sugar (optional).
- Bake the preparation for 20 to 25 minutes of cooking.
Well done ! Your apple pie is ready 🥰.
